It started out with the news that Sir Paul McCartney will be performing at Kokuritsu again because Koku is now free-for-all and they badly need money for the renovation. The last time Sir Paul performed in Tokyo, Sho went to watch with his parents. On the other hand, Arashi fans know that Jun is a Beatles fan.
And so I tweeted:
Only Sakumoto fans would get that tweet…
And yes, this post is about Sakumoto as in Sakurai Sho and Matsumoto Jun so if you are not into them or this kind of fun, then now’s the time to STOP READING.
And so began one of the most fun days I’ve had on Twitter in recent times, and creative too. It was fun going through Beatles songs and putting a Sakumoto touch to them.
So I’m just going to throw it out there the way it happened on Twitter:
Love you forever and forever
Love you with all my heart
Love you whenever we’re together
Love you when we’re apart.
I can already see it… Sakumoto with their arms around each other (rarely happens and when it happens, makes you think the world is about to end but hey maybe they are just private individuals who do not do PDA) swaying to the music.

Haha yes! The part that really tickles me is when the “stalker” looms over schoolgirl!Jun threateningly and we see Junko’s eyes go wide like “yabai! This wasn’t part of the plan!”
And then da-dada-daaaa!
Sho to the rescue, vintage 007 style, except for the fact that he’s about half Sean Connery’s height and has shoulders about half the width of whatever coat he was wearing. I ROFLed at that sooo soo hard. Somebody PLEASE make Arashi do skits together again. .

I’m just glad that it seems Sakumoto have found their groove again. Whatever happened in those awkward years – maybe part of their growing up — I’m happy to see them looking happy together again lol they were joined at the hip for chrissakes when they were younger!

And I totally agree that 2014 looks like it’ll be another Sakumoto year! Maybe I’m delusional, but I think the Shiyagare eps this year have frequently featured a bit of Sakumoto 😛
Now, if only Nino would bang their heads together and peer-pressure them into an onscreen kiss…
