I seldom watch Thai movies so I naturally had reservations about Suck Seed, which is such a weird title for a film. It’s about a group of high school boys who form a band to attract girls. The story, surprisingly, was not formulaic. They were so lousy that failure was the only option. This is not a happy ending kind of story but it does have its kinda happy ending. And in the end, Suck Seed succeeds because it touches.

Suck Seed was also a boxoffice hit and from the film, the “band” went to doing a Pepsi TVC with Bodyslam, which was featured in the film and is one of Thailand’s famous rock bands.
