heroes’ bracelet

There’s this lady in the talaat (market) who comes a couple of times a month and sells all these chunky costume jewelry made of resin and wood. I love looking at them even if they’re not exactly my style. And I found out that they are made in the Philippines! One time, I found a necklace with a pendant made of resin with a cut-out from a Cebuano newspaper. That’s how I discovered they’re made in Cebu.

Then today, I found this bracelet designed with Filipino heroes. I don’t wear bracelets like this because I find it chunky but I bought it anyway because of the “cultural” aspect. Besides, it’s my little way of supporting Filipino craftsmanship. Aside from this, I also have a Mabini ring.

So can I wear my nationalism on my arm?
